Troubleshoot Flickering or Uneven Lighting
Check Shader Compatibility
Ensure Vanilish Shaders is compatible with your current Minecraft version and mod loader. Incompatibilities can cause lighting glitches. Verify you're using a supported configuration by checking your shader's documentation.
Reset Shader Settings to Defaults
If lighting appears unstable or flickers, reset all shader options to their default values. Open Shader Options and look for a "Reset" or "Default" button. This often resolves conflicts caused by conflicting setting combinations.
Disable Conflicting Mods
Other mods that modify lighting or rendering can interfere with Vanilish Shaders. Temporarily disable recently added mods to identify conflicts. Mods affecting light levels, custom dimensions, or rendering pipelines are common culprits.
Adjust Shadow Update Frequency
If shadows flicker or update unevenly, look for shadow update rate or stability settings in your shader options. Lowering the update frequency can stabilize shadows at the cost of slightly slower shadow movement, while increasing it may cause performance dips but improves responsiveness.
