Van Backport Compat Mod Guide

What This Mod Does

Van Backport Compat Mod extends the content of the Vanilla Backport mod into biomes added by other mods. Instead of only appearing in vanilla biomes, features like fallen leaves, wild plants, and animals can now generate across modded terrain as well.

World Generation

Leaf litter and wild flowers can appear on the ground in modded biomes. Normal bushes and firefly bushes spawn as well, along with tall and short dry grass. Fallen oak, birch, and spruce trees generate on the surface. Leaf litter is also added to the Pale Garden biome.

Mobs and Ambience

Warm and cold animal types spawn naturally, including camels and armadillos, and different wolf types can appear. Desert ambience sounds play in the background where appropriate. Leaves and needles fall from trees, with their colors matched to the source block textures.

Compatibility

Happy Ghast damage sources are suppressed, and the mod works alongside Snow Real Magic.
