Switch Between Paxel Modes (Hoe, Shovel, Axe)

Understanding Mode Switching

Your paxel has three active modes beyond its default pickaxe function: hoe, shovel, and axe. Switching between them lets you access tool-specific interactions like tilling soil or stripping logs.

Perform the Mode Switch

1. Hold your paxel in your hand

2. Press and hold your sprint key (default: Left Ctrl)

3. While sprinting, right-click on a block or in the air

4. The paxel cycles to the next mode

Repeat this combination to cycle through all available modes. Each mode enables different block interactions—for example, the hoe mode lets you till dirt into farmland, while axe mode strips wood.

Track Your Current Mode

Watch the paxel's appearance or check your inventory tooltip to confirm which mode is active. The mode persists until you switch again, so you can perform multiple actions in the same mode before cycling.
