Obtaining a Charcoal Golem

A Charcoal Golem forms when a Timber Golem is exposed to fire for too long. Alternatively, you may find one already transformed. Unlike its predecessor, this golem specializes in sapling management and giant tree creation.

Sapling Collection and Planting

Fill a nearby chest with saplings. The Charcoal Golem gathers dropped saplings from the ground and withdraws additional saplings from chests. It replants single saplings normally but places two-by-two sapling squares to grow giant trees, maximizing your wood output.

Additional Features

The golem clears nearby wild flowers from its work area and follows players holding saplings, making it useful for directing replanting efforts. Right-click it with a stick to activate its light-source mode, turning it into a mobile torch. Feed it charcoal to restore health.
