Looting Furnished Apartments Efficiently
Understanding Apartment Generation
Apartment buildings use jigsaw blocks to create randomized room layouts and furnishings. Each apartment differs—you won't find identical rooms repeated. This means systematic exploration is necessary to find all loot without missing hidden chambers.
Search Strategy
Start from the ground floor and work upward, checking every accessible room. Look for doors, open passages, and stairwells. Some apartments may have connecting rooms or hidden alcoves. Mark visited floors with torches or blocks to track your progress in large buildings.
Loot Types
Furnished apartments contain various items in chests, on tables, and in storage areas. Bookshelves, wooden furniture, and decorative items are common. Higher-tier apartments in larger buildings typically contain better loot. Check both main rooms and smaller side chambers—valuable items hide in less obvious locations.
Efficiency Tips
Bring a pickaxe to break through locked doors if needed. Use torches to light dark interiors and prevent mob spawning. Organize your inventory before looting to maximize collection. Consider returning with a cart or hopper system if you find a particularly rich apartment complex worth systematic harvesting.
