Troubleshooting Texture and Model Issues
Missing or Broken Textures
If blocks appear purple/black or textures fail to load:
1. Verify the resource pack is enabled in Resource Packs menu
2. Ensure it's placed above any conflicting packs in the load order
3. Restart the game completely
4. Check that your Minecraft version matches the pack's compatibility
3D Models Not Displaying
Custom 3D models require specific rendering features:
- Confirm Fancy Graphics is enabled (Video Settings)
- Disable any mods that override block rendering
- If using Optifine, ensure it's updated and not conflicting with the pack
Lighting Looks Flat or Wrong
This often occurs without shaders or with incompatible lighting mods:
- Install a recommended shader (BSL preferred)
- Remove mods that alter lighting calculations
- Verify Smooth Lighting is enabled
Performance Drops in Specific Areas
Certain biomes or custom structures may cause stuttering:
- Reduce entity render distance
- Lower particle settings
- Decrease chunk render distance temporarily while in that area
