Getting the Best Visual Results with Shaders
Pair with Compatible Shaders
Urban Resource Pack shines with physically-based rendering (PBR) materials. BSL Shader is the recommended choice, but other PBR-compatible shaders work well:
- Ensure your shader supports normal maps and specular maps
- Check shader settings for PBR material support
Configure Shader Settings
1. Launch the game with your chosen shader active
2. Open Shader Options (usually F2 or in-game menu)
3. Enable:
- Normal mapping
- Specular mapping
- Parallax occlusion (if available)
- Enhanced reflections
4. Adjust lighting intensity to match your preference
Optimize Lighting and Shadows
- Increase shadow distance for more detailed shadows on detailed textures
- Enable ambient occlusion for depth in crevices and corners
- Adjust bloom/glow settings to enhance the pack's reflective surfaces
Test in Different Environments
Visit varied biomes and times of day to see how the pack responds to different lighting. Urban structures, water, and metallic blocks show the most dramatic improvements with proper shader configuration.
