Customizing the Pack for Your Playstyle

Adjusting Visual Intensity

Urban Resource Pack's realism can feel overwhelming in some contexts. Customize your experience:

  • Use shader options to tone down bloom or reflections
  • Adjust gamma/brightness in Video Settings for comfort during long sessions
  • Disable certain visual effects in shader menus if they distract from gameplay

Combining with Other Resource Packs

If you want selective customization:

1. Place Urban Resource Pack first in your resource pack list

2. Layer a smaller, specialized pack on top (e.g., for UI or specific blocks)

3. Test for conflicts and adjust load order as needed

Tweaking for Survival vs. Creative

Survival: Use vanilla lighting for better visibility of mobs and resources. Save shaders for base building and exploration.

Creative: Enable full shader effects and maximize render distance for cinematic building and screenshots.

Performance Profiles

Create multiple game instances or profiles:

  • One optimized for gameplay (lower settings, no shaders)
  • One for screenshots and exploration (maximum settings, shaders enabled)

Switch between them based on your current activity.
