How to Get a Fresh World Icon Every Time You Load Your World
What the Mod Actually Does
This mod hooks into the world-loading process. Every time you open a singleplayer world, the game takes a new screenshot of the world from the player's current position and uses it as the world icon in the world selection menu. You do not need to press any key or open any menu — the refresh happens automatically as part of loading.
Steps to See the Change
1. Launch Minecraft with the mod installed and open your world.
2. Play normally for a bit. Move to a spot you would like to see as the icon — a build, a vista, or your base.
3. Save and quit back to the title screen.
4. Open the Singleplayer world list. The icon next to your world should now show the view from where you were when the world was loaded, not the original generation screenshot.
5. Load the world again, move somewhere else, and quit. The icon updates once more.
Things to Keep in Mind
The icon reflects the moment the world is loaded, so if you want a specific view as your icon, position yourself there before quitting and then reload the world once. The very first icon from world generation is replaced the first time you load the world with the mod active.
