Why item names matter in search

When you switch your Minecraft language setting, item names change in tools like JEI (Just Enough Items). This makes searching unreliable—you might search for an item's English name but the mod displays it in your current language, causing no results.

How this mod helps

Untranslated Items Mod keeps all item names in English (US) by default, so your searches work the same way no matter which language you've selected in your game settings. This is especially useful if you:

• Play with friends who use different languages
• Switch languages frequently
• Use item name searches in JEI or similar tools
• Follow English-language guides or tutorials

What stays translated

Only item names are affected. GUIs, menus, manuals, and other text still display in your selected language if a translation exists. This means you get the best of both worlds: consistent item searching plus readable interface text in your preferred language.

The mod works automatically once installed—no configuration needed for basic use.
