How do I make item names always show in English?
The mod does this automatically by default. Item names will display in English regardless of your game language setting. If you want to disable this behavior, set `replaceItemNames` to `false` in the config file.
Can I see both English and my language at the same time?
Yes, this is enabled by default. When `dispBothLanguagesOnTooltip` is set to `true`, item tooltips will show the English name on the first line and your game language translation on the second line.
Why does JEI search work better with this mod?
JEI searches item names, and without this mod, switching languages can hide items that only have English names in the mod database. By always showing English names, you can consistently find items regardless of your language setting.
How do I change which language shows as the primary name?
Edit the `additionalLanguage` setting in the config file to your preferred language code (for example, `de_de` for German or `fr_fr` for French). The language you set there will appear as the main item name, while English becomes secondary.
Does this mod affect GUIs and menus?
No, only item names are affected. All other text like GUIs, buttons, and manuals will continue to use your selected game language if translations are available.
Will this mod work with Waila or similar mods?
Yes, the mod has a dedicated setting `dispBothLanguagesOnWaila` that displays item names in both languages in Waila tooltips. This is enabled by default.
What if I only want to see my game language, not English?
Set `replaceItemNames` to `false` in the config file. This disables the mod's main feature and item names will display only in your selected game language.
Does this mod cause performance issues?
No, this mod is lightweight and only modifies how item names are displayed. It has no impact on game performance or server performance.
Can I disable dual-language tooltips but keep English as the main name?
