Disable English item names and use only your game language

Turning off the mod's main feature

If you prefer item names to follow your game language setting completely, you can disable the English name replacement through configuration.

The replaceItemNames setting

Set replaceItemNames to false in the mod's config file. When disabled:

• Item names display only in your current game language
• The mod no longer forces English (US) names
• Tooltips and Waila displays revert to standard behavior
• Other mod features may still function depending on your config

Why you might do this

You may want to disable this if:

• You play exclusively in one language and prefer consistency
• You're testing how items appear in different languages
• You want the mod installed but inactive for specific gameplay sessions
• You're troubleshooting mod conflicts

Keeping other features

You can disable replaceItemNames while keeping the bilingual tooltip displays active (dispBothLanguagesOnTooltip and dispBothLanguagesOnWaila). This gives you flexibility to customize exactly which features you use.
