Universal Grid Mod FAQ

Craft a Universal Grid and place it against your Refined Storage network so it connects to a controller or network block. Once placed, right-click it to open the interface and use the view buttons to switch between Grid, Crafting, Fluid, and Autocrafting modes.

Open the Universal Grid interface and use the tabs or buttons along the side to cycle between the different views. Each view shows different content, so the Crafting Grid adds a crafting area while the Fluid Grid shows stored fluids.

The grid only displays what is stored on the Refined Storage network it is connected to, so check that it is touching a network block and that your storage disks or external storage are connected. If the network has no power or no controller, the grid will open but stay empty.

Yes, the Universal Grid includes a Crafting Grid view, so you can craft items using ingredients pulled from your network without placing a separate crafting grid block. Just switch to the crafting view and use the crafting slots like a normal crafting table.

The Autocrafting Monitor view lets you see and manage crafting jobs that are running on your network. You still need to set up patterns and a crafter or pattern provider on your Refined Storage network for the grid to actually start jobs.

Make sure the block is fully placed and connected to your network, and that you are not sneaking while right-clicking. If it still won't open, check for block conflicts or that the chunk is loaded and the network has power.

It combines their functions into one block, so you can use a single Universal Grid instead of placing three separate grids. You can still use the individual Refined Storage grids if you prefer, but the Universal Grid saves space.

The Fluid Grid view works with fluids stored on your Refined Storage network, including fluids from other mods that are compatible with Refined Storage fluid storage. If a fluid isn't showing, check that it's actually stored in a fluid storage block on the network.

Large networks with many items or active crafting jobs can make the grid take longer to refresh. Reducing the number of items displayed, closing unused views, or spreading storage across multiple networks can help performance.

The Universal Grid is built for Refined Storage, so it connects to RS networks rather than AE2 networks. You would need a separate AE2 terminal for AE2 storage, though both mods can coexist in the same world.
