Use Depth of Field for Better Cinematic Screenshots

Position Your Subject

Frame your shot so your main subject (a building, player, or landmark) sits roughly at crosshair distance. The mod will keep this focal point sharp while softening everything else.

Adjust Focus for Composition

Use the config menu to set your focus distance to match your subject's depth. Move closer or further from your target until it sits in the focal plane. Distant backgrounds will naturally blur, creating professional-looking depth separation.

Reduce Blur for Landscape Shots

For wide vistas, lower the blur intensity so terrain remains recognizable but still shows subtle depth layering. For close-up portraits or building details, increase blur to isolate your subject dramatically.

Combine with Lighting

Depth of field works best with good lighting. Use time of day, torches, or shader-based lighting to enhance the cinematic effect. The blurred background becomes less distracting when properly lit.
