Play Multiplayer Without Affecting Other Players

Understand Client-Side Operation

The Universal Depth of Field Mod runs entirely on your client. Your depth of field settings don't transmit to the server or other players—they see the world normally. You can safely use this mod on any multiplayer server.

Configure for Gameplay

In multiplayer, avoid extreme focus distances that make navigation difficult. Keep blur intensity moderate so you can still see threats and teammates in your peripheral vision. Test your settings in a safe area before venturing into PvP or group activities.

Adjust for Combat

During combat, consider temporarily reducing blur intensity or widening focus range so enemies at various distances remain visible. Some players disable the effect entirely during raids or PvP, then re-enable it for exploration and building.

Server Compatibility

This mod causes no lag, desync, or gameplay conflicts on servers. It's purely visual and won't interfere with vanilla mechanics, redstone, or other players' experiences.
