Set Up Level-Up Notifications to External Chat

Enable Level Notifications

The plugin can broadcast when players reach certain experience levels. Open your config.yml and locate the level-up notification settings.

Configure Level Intervals

You can set custom intervals for when notifications trigger. For example, you might want alerts at every 5 levels, every 10 levels, or only at major milestones. Adjust the interval value to control how frequently level-up messages appear in your linked channels.

Customize the Message

Edit the level-up message text to include player names and level information. This helps external chat members celebrate player progression without spam.

Test and Monitor

Save your configuration and restart the server. Have a player gain experience and level up. Check your Matterbridge-connected channels (Discord, Slack, etc.) to confirm the notification appears with your custom text. If notifications aren't showing, verify the level interval matches the player's current progression.
