Set Up Spell Whitelist for Free Movement
What the Spell Whitelist Does
Whitelisted spells ignore Roll Lock restrictions, letting you move and dodge freely while casting them. This is ideal for mobility-focused spells or quick casts where flexibility is more important than commitment.
Finding and Editing the Whitelist
1. Open your Unified Combat configuration file
2. Locate the Spell Whitelist section
3. Check which spells are already whitelisted (Poison Arrow is a common example)
4. Add spell names to the list if you want them to allow dodging during cast
5. Save and reload your world
Choosing Spells to Whitelist
Consider whitelisting:
- Quick-cast spells: Spells with short casting times benefit from dodge freedom
- Mobility spells: Spells meant for repositioning should allow movement
- Low-impact spells: Spells that don't need commitment can be interrupted safely
- Utility magic: Support spells often work better with full control
Balancing Whitelist and Roll Lock
Whitelisted spells bypass Roll Lock but still trigger Mana Penalty and Spell Cooldown if canceled. Use the whitelist strategically—don't add every spell, or combat becomes too forgiving.
