Using Uncrafting to Manage Inventory and Storage

Reducing Clutter with Bulk Uncrafting

When you accumulate duplicate crafted items or gear you no longer need, uncrafting lets you convert them back into stackable base materials. This dramatically reduces storage space—many crafted items don't stack, but their components do.

Organizing Your Resources

Instead of keeping multiple partial stacks of crafted blocks or tools, uncraft them into organized material stacks. A chest full of mixed items becomes a few organized stacks of ingots, wood, stone, and other basics.

Strategic Uncrafting Workflow

1. Collect items you no longer need

2. Sort them by type (tools, blocks, decorations)

3. Uncraft each group to recover base materials

4. Store recovered materials in organized chests

When to Uncraft vs. Keep

Keep specialty items like enchanted gear or rare crafted blocks. Uncraft duplicates, failed experiments, and items you crafted but no longer use. This keeps your storage efficient while preserving valuable unique items.
