Ultra Realistic PBR Pack Shaders FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I enable the shader pack after installing it?
Open Options > Video Settings > Shaders, then locate Ultra Realistic PBR Pack Shaders in your shaders folder and select it. The shaders will load on your next world load or when you press F3 + T to reload.
Why do some blocks look too shiny or reflective?
PBR surface reflections vary by block type—metals and smooth surfaces reflect more light than rough ones. If reflections feel too strong overall, check your shader settings for PBR intensity or surface roughness sliders and adjust them down.
The End dimension sky looks wrong. Where's the Earth model?
The Earth model should appear as a rotating sphere in the End sky by default. If you don't see it, verify the shader is fully loaded, check that dimension-specific sky settings are enabled in the shader options, and ensure you're not in a modded dimension that overrides the sky.
My indoor spaces are too dark even with torches. How do I fix this?
Light bounce and indirect lighting may need adjustment—open the shader settings and look for options related to ambient light, light bounce strength, or indirect lighting radius, then increase these values to brighten enclosed spaces.
Stars are moving too fast or too slow. Can I change this?
Yes, the shader includes options to adjust star and sky movement speed. Open your shader settings and find the star animation or sky rotation controls to slow down or speed up the effect to your preference.
Why is my frame rate so low with this shader pack?
PBR rendering and filmic color grading are computationally expensive. Try lowering shadow distance, reducing render distance, disabling advanced lighting features, or using a lower-quality preset if available in the shader options.
Does this shader work with other mods that change blocks or dimensions?
Most mods are compatible, but mods that heavily modify sky rendering or add custom dimensions may conflict. Test by enabling the shader with your mod list and checking problem areas; if conflicts occur, check the mod's documentation for known shader incompatibilities.
How do I make highlights and bright areas less blown out?
The shader uses ACES color grading to balance tones. Look for exposure, tone mapping, or highlight compression settings in the shader options and reduce these values to bring down overly bright areas.
Can I adjust how much light bounces between blocks?
Yes, most shader packs include a light bounce or global illumination slider. Open your shader settings and find the indirect lighting or bounce intensity control to increase or decrease how much light reflects off surrounding blocks.
The sky looks washed out or the colors feel off. What should I check?
The filmic color grading may need tuning for your monitor. Check shader settings for saturation, color temperature, or gamma adjustments, and also verify your monitor's brightness and contrast aren't set too high or low.
