TZP Modded Zombies Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need Tissou's Zombie Pack installed for this to work?
Yes, TZP Modded Zombies is an extension pack designed to work alongside Tissou's Zombie Pack. Install both packs with Tissou's as your base, then load TZP on top of it in your resource pack order.
Why do my modded zombies still look vanilla?
Check that the resource pack is enabled in your resource pack menu and positioned above any conflicting packs. If a mod's zombies still don't retexture, that mob may not be covered by TZP—check the mod compatibility list on the wiki.
Can I use this with mutant mob mods?
Yes, TZP includes dedicated retextures for mutant zombies from popular mutant mob mods, giving them muscular, decayed appearances that fit the horror theme. Load TZP after your mutant mod's resource pack for best results.
Does this work with SCP mods?
TZP retextures infected creatures from SCP-049 and masked zombies from SCP-035 to match the horror style. Other SCP entities may not be covered—refer to the mod compatibility section to see which SCP mobs are included.
What's the difference between the Redcoat variants shown in screenshots?
TZP includes multiple Redcoat texture variants with different levels of decay, blood splatters, and tattered clothing. Your game will use one variant; different variants are shown to demonstrate the pack's visual style.
Will this pack affect my performance?
Resource packs have minimal performance impact since they only change textures, not mob behavior or spawning. You may see a small increase in memory usage depending on your GPU and texture resolution settings.
Can I use this with infected animal mods?
Yes, TZP retextures infected animals like chickens and other creatures from mods like Infectious to fit the horror theme. Check the mod list to confirm your specific infected animal mod is supported.
How do I make sure the zombie horse retexture appears?
The vanilla zombie horse retexture is included in TZP by default. If you don't see the bloody, decayed horse texture, verify the resource pack is enabled and that no other pack is overriding it.
Does this pack work with modpacks like Zombie Apocalypse?
TZP includes retextures for mobs from Zombie Apocalypse and other popular zombie modpacks. Load TZP after the modpack's default resource pack to apply the horror-themed textures.
What if a mod I'm using isn't on the compatibility list?
TZP only retextures mobs from the listed mods. If your mod isn't covered, the zombies will keep their default textures—you could request support on the mod's community pages or look for alternative texture packs.
