How to Change or Disable the Typewriter Day Counter Overlay

Check the Mod's Config File

Most lightweight overlay mods like this one store their settings in a config file generated in your Minecraft config folder after the first launch. Open that folder and look for a file named after the mod. Open it with a plain text editor and read the comments — they tell you which lines control the overlay's behavior, such as whether the daily title appears at all, how long it stays on screen, and whether the typewriter typing effect plays.

Adjust the Display Behavior

If you want the counter quieter, look for options that control title duration, fade timing, or a toggle to turn the overlay off entirely. Change the value, save the file, and restart the game so the mod reloads your settings. If the config file does not exist yet, launch a world once and exit — the mod usually writes its defaults on first run.

If There Is No Config

Some builds of simple overlay mods ship with no config at all. In that case, the overlay is fixed and cannot be edited in-game. You can still reduce its impact by lowering your GUI scale or hiding titles through vanilla accessibility settings, though that will also affect other title messages. Check the mod's own documentation before assuming a setting exists.
