Typewriter Day Counter Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I get the day counter to show up?
Just create or enter a world and the overlay appears automatically — no setup needed. A "Day 1" title shows the first time you enter a newly created world.
Why isn't the day counter showing on my screen?
The title only appears when a new day starts, so it won't stay on screen constantly. If you missed it, wait for the next day cycle or check whether you've disabled the overlay in the mod's config.
Does the day counter work in multiplayer or on a server?
It works on LAN and multiplayer worlds as long as the mod is installed on your client. On a dedicated server, other players without the mod won't see the overlay, but you still will.
What happens on day 100, 200, 300?
Days that are multiples of 100 trigger a special title animation instead of the normal typewriter display. You don't need to do anything — it fires automatically when that day arrives.
Can I turn the day counter off?
Yes, the mod includes a config option to disable the overlay. Check the mod's config file or in-game mod menu to toggle it.
Can I change the font or style of the day counter?
The typewriter font is the mod's signature look and isn't user-configurable in most versions. You can disable the overlay entirely if you don't want it, but styling options are limited.
The day counter is covering my other HUD info — how do I fix it?
The title overlay appears near the center of the screen like vanilla titles. If it overlaps other HUD elements, you can disable it in config or move the conflicting HUD mod's position instead.
Does the day counter count real days or in-game days?
It counts in-game days, matching the world's day number shown in the F3 debug screen. Each full day/night cycle increments the counter by one.
Will this mod lag my game or affect performance?
No — it's a lightweight client-side overlay that only renders a title when a new day starts. It has negligible impact on FPS or tick rate.
Is the day counter compatible with other HUD or title mods?
It generally works alongside other mods, but if another mod also uses the title/subtitle system, they may conflict visually. Disable one of them if titles overlap or cancel each other out.
