What the Twilight Forest 9minecraft Fix Actually Changes

The Cave Cutoff Bug

In Twilight Forest, caves that generate underneath bodies of water can abruptly stop at the water's edge instead of continuing naturally through the terrain below. This mod addresses that specific generation problem.

When a cave system would normally pass beneath a lake, ocean, or other water body, the original behavior could truncate the cave, leaving a flat wall or an unnatural dead end. The fix allows those caves to keep generating as intended, so underground passages stay connected even when water sits above them.

This is a generation-level change, not a gameplay mechanic. It does not add new items, mobs, or blocks, and it does not alter how existing Twilight Forest content behaves. The long item and mob lists associated with the mod are simply the existing Twilight Forest content that the fix applies to.

Because the change affects world generation, it only takes effect in newly generated chunks. Caves in worlds created before installing the mod will not be retroactively repaired.
