Trinkets Updated Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I see my trinket slots for the first time?
Open your inventory by pressing E, and look to the left of your character model—you'll see slot groups organized by body part (head, chest, legs, feet, hands, offhand). Click on any group to expand and see available slots that other mods have registered.
Why don't I see any trinket slots in my inventory?
Trinkets Updated only displays slot groups that other installed mods actually use. If no gear mods are installed, there won't be any slots to show—install accessory or trinket-adding mods to populate the slots.
Can I wear accessories over my armor without replacing it?
Yes, trinket slots are separate from your armor slots, so you can equip rings, capes, charms, and other accessories alongside your full armor set without any conflicts.
How do I hide my accessories so they don't show on my character model?
Enable the cosmetic slot hiding feature in your mod settings to toggle equipped accessories invisible while keeping their effects active—this gives you a clean character look without losing functionality.
Do enchantments work on custom trinket items?
Yes, trinkets work with vanilla enchantments and mechanics, so you can enchant custom accessories just like normal tools and armor, and they'll function as expected.
Can I move trinket slots around on my screen?
Yes, the mod includes customization settings where you can adjust slot positions, slot indicators, and item tooltips to arrange your inventory layout however you prefer.
Will this mod work with my Elytra?
Yes, Trinkets Updated is fully compatible with vanilla mechanics like Elytra gliding, so equipping accessories won't interfere with using your Elytra.
Does this mod work on Fabric and NeoForge?
Yes, Trinkets Updated runs on both Fabric and NeoForge without requiring any extra add-on libraries or dependencies.
What happens if I equip the same trinket in multiple slots?
You can equip duplicate items in different slot groups, and each instance will function independently with its own effects and enchantments.
Will trinket slots cause lag or performance issues?
No, the mod is designed to be lightweight and only loads slots that are actually in use, so it won't clutter your screen or impact performance even with many mods installed.
