The Full Material List
Trims Expanded adds the following items as valid armor trim materials on top of the vanilla ones (Diamond, Emerald, Gold Ingot, Iron Ingot, Lapis Lazuli, Netherite Ingot, Quartz, Redstone Dust, Amethyst Shard, Copper Ingot):
- Coal
- Dragon's Breath
- Echo Shard
- Enchanted Golden Apple
- Ender Pearl
- Fire Charge
- Glowstone Dust
- Leather
- Nether Brick
- Prismarine Shard
- Rabbit Hide
- Slime Ball
How to Use This List
Each material produces a distinct trim color/appearance on your armor. To use any of them, combine the material with an armor piece and an armor trim smithing template in a Smithing Table. The template determines the pattern; the material determines the look. Since the mod does not add new templates, you still need to find vanilla templates in structures or craft them via the usual methods. Some materials are rare (Echo Shard, Dragon's Breath, Enchanted Golden Apple), so plan which armor piece deserves them. Others are common (Coal, Leather, Rabbit Hide, Slime Ball), making them great for cheap cosmetic experimentation across multiple armor sets. If a material does not produce a trim, confirm it is spelled exactly as above and that you are using a genuine armor trim template.
