Trimmable Minimal Armor Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Does this pack work with my current resource pack?
This pack modifies armor and elytra textures, so it may conflict with other packs that do the same. Load this pack higher in your resource pack list (above conflicting packs) to ensure its textures take priority, or choose packs that don't alter armor visuals.
Why can I still see armor on my character if it's supposed to be minimal?
The pack scales down armor rather than hiding it completely—you'll still see a thinner layer of armor texture over your skin. This is intentional; the goal is balance between protection visibility and skin clarity.
Do trim patterns show up properly with the minimal textures?
Yes, trim designs are preserved and remain visible, though they appear more subtle due to the reduced armor scale. The decorative patterns still display on all trimmed armor pieces.
How do I make my helmet show less of my face?
This pack automatically reduces helmet face coverage as part of its design—no additional settings needed. The modification applies to all helmet types and is built into the resource pack itself.
Does this affect armor in my inventory or just when wearing it?
The pack only changes how armor appears when equipped on your character; armor icons in your inventory and item frames remain unchanged.
Will this work with mods that add custom armor?
Only vanilla armor types (leather, iron, gold, diamond, netherite, chainmail) are modified by this pack. Custom armor from other mods will display normally unless those mods' textures are also included in this pack.
Can I use this in multiplayer or on servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use this on any server or multiplayer world without affecting other players or requiring server installation.
Why does my armor look different on other players compared to my own character?
You only see the minimal armor textures on your own character; other players see the standard vanilla armor on you unless they also have this pack installed.
Does the elytra texture change affect flight visibility?
The elytra texture is scaled down like armor, making it less visually obstructive while flying without affecting flight mechanics or performance.
What should I do if armor textures look broken or misaligned?
Ensure the pack is fully loaded by checking your resource pack list and reloading resources (F3+T on Java). If issues persist, try moving this pack to the top of your list to override conflicting packs.
