Make Saplings Grow Different Trees by Biome

Set Up Biome-Specific Tree Rules

Treeplacer lets you define which tree type grows from a sapling depending on which biome it's planted in. This is useful for creating realistic forests where oak grows in temperate biomes and birch in cooler areas.

How to Configure

1. Open your mod's configuration file (usually in the config folder or through a config GUI).

2. Locate the sapling you want to customize.

3. Find the biome-specific rules section.

4. Add entries for each biome you want to affect—for example, specify that a sapling grows as an oak tree in plains but as a spruce tree in taiga.

5. Save and reload your world or use /reload if available.

Testing Your Changes

Plant a sapling in different biomes to verify it grows the correct tree type. If a biome isn't covered by your rules, the sapling will typically use a default tree type. You can also set a global fallback tree for any biome without specific rules defined.
