Create Custom 2×2 Trees
Understanding 2×2 Tree Structures
Treeplacer supports creating large trees that require a 2×2 grid of saplings to grow. This is perfect for making massive custom trees that feel more epic and take up more space.
Setting Up a 2×2 Tree
1. In your configuration, select or create a new tree type.
2. Enable the 2×2 tree option for that sapling type.
3. Define the tree structure—specify the height, trunk thickness, and branch patterns.
4. Save your configuration.
5. In your world, plant four saplings in a 2×2 square formation.
6. When all four saplings receive a growth tick simultaneously, they will grow into your custom 2×2 tree.
Tips for Success
Ensure all four saplings are on the same ground level. You can use bone meal to speed up growth and test your design. If the tree doesn't grow, double-check that all four blocks are occupied by the correct sapling type and that your configuration syntax is correct.
