Stopping Tree Vein Miner from Destroying Your Tree Farm or Builds

The problem

Because the mod clears everything connected to the log you hit, it can wipe out a decorative tree you placed, a tree you are growing on purpose in a farm, or logs that are part of a build rather than a natural tree.

How to avoid accidental destruction

1. Do not crouch when you break logs you want to keep. Standing and mining breaks only the single block, which is the safe default.

2. If you are clearing a farm plot, break the bottom log while standing, then handle the rest normally, or use a different tool path that does not involve sneaking.

3. For builds that use log blocks, treat sneaking near them as dangerous. Rebind or simply avoid holding sneak while swinging at them.

If the mod is configurable

1. Check the config for any option that limits the mod to naturally generated trees, or that adds a block or dimension restriction.

2. If such an option exists, enable it so placed logs and build materials are ignored.

3. If no such option exists, the only reliable safeguard is your own behavior: never sneak-mine a log you want to keep.
