Making Tree Vein Miner Only Break Logs and Leave the Leaves

Why you might want this

By default the mod removes both the trunk and the leaves of the tree you trigger it on. Some players prefer to keep the canopy so they can harvest saplings, apples, or sticks manually, or so a built structure nearby is not disturbed.

What to do

1. Open the mod's configuration. Depending on how it was packaged, this is either a config file in your instance's config folder or an in-game config screen reachable from the mod list.

2. Look for the option that controls whether leaves are destroyed along with logs. It is typically worded as something like "break leaves" or "include leaves."

3. Turn that option off and save.

4. Test on a fresh tree: crouch and break a log. Only the connected logs should disappear, and the leaves should remain in place until they decay naturally.

Caveats

• If you cannot find a leaves toggle, the build you have may not expose one; in that case the behavior is fixed and you cannot separate the two.
• Leaving the canopy means normal leaf decay applies, which can drop saplings and apples over time, so clear the area if you do not want items scattered.
