How to Stop Sneaking Every Time You Chop a Tree
Why Sneak Is Required by Default
The mod ships with sneak-to-harvest enabled so that casual log-breaking (building, clearing, mining) does not accidentally wipe out entire trees. That is convenient for safety but annoying if you are doing a dedicated logging run.
Turning Off the Sneak Requirement
Open the mod's config file and look for the sneak toggle option. Disable it, save the file, and reload the game (or the world, depending on how the config is applied). After that, breaking the bottom log of a tree will trigger the full harvest without you holding sneak.
Adjusting Related Settings While You Are There
Since you are already editing the config, consider these companions:
mustHoldAxeForTreeHarvest— turn this off if you want to harvest with any tool or bare hands.replaceSaplingIfBottomLogIsBroken— leave on for automatic replanting, off if you want to control replanting yourself.- Durability loss options — check whether harvesting costs extra durability per log or just one use, and set it to match how much you care about your axe.
Testing the Change
Find a small tree, break the base log without sneaking, and confirm the whole trunk disappears. If it does not, the config did not reload — restart the world and try again.
