How to Harvest Huge Mushrooms and Warped/Crimson Trees

Non-Standard "Trees"

Tree Harvester treats several block structures as trees beyond ordinary oak-style logs. Huge mushrooms (the giant red and brown mushroom structures found in dark forests and mushroom islands) and the nether fungi trees (warped and crimson) are supported. The key is that the mod looks for a connected structure rooted at a base block.

Finding the Correct Base Block

For a huge mushroom, the base is the stem block sitting directly on the ground — not the cap. Break that bottom stem block while sneaking (or without sneaking if you disabled the sneak requirement). The stem column and the cap should come down together.

For warped and crimson trees in the Nether, the base is the lowest stem block touching the nylium or ground. Chop that one block and the rest of the stem follows.

Replanting Behaviour

Automatic sapling replacement depends on the structure dropping a sapling-equivalent item. Huge mushrooms drop mushrooms, and nether fungi drop their respective fungus items, which the mod can place back if replaceSaplingIfBottomLogIsBroken is enabled. If replanting does not happen, the drop may not have occurred — check your inventory and the ground.

Tips

  • Clear any blocks touching the base first; obstructions can interfere with detection.
  • If only part of the structure falls, break the remaining base-adjacent blocks manually.
