How to Harvest a Whole Tree Instantly in Tree Harvester Mod

Chopping From the Base

Break the bottom-most log of a tree while holding the sneak key (by default). The mod detects the connected logs above and removes the entire trunk in one action, so you do not need to climb or pillar up. Make sure you are actually sneaking — if you break the base log without sneaking, only that single block will drop and the tree will remain standing.

What Happens After the Chop

Once the trunk is gone, the leaves are flagged to decay quickly rather than lingering. If replaceSaplingIfBottomLogIsBroken is enabled in the config (it is on by default), the mod takes a sapling from the drops and places it back on the ground where the base log was. This means you can re-grow the tree without manually replanting, as long as the tree dropped at least one sapling.

Things to Watch For

• You must be holding an axe if mustHoldAxeForTreeHarvest is enabled (default).
• Very large or irregular trees may not fully register as one tree, so a few stray logs can remain.
• If no sapling drops, nothing gets replanted — collect saplings from leaves or other trees first.
• Sneak-harvest can be turned off in the config so a normal chop triggers the effect.
