Torturable Healthbars Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I know if a mob is close to dying?
Watch the mob's texture—as it takes damage, its appearance visibly deteriorates, showing wounds, discoloration, or other signs of injury. The more damaged the texture looks, the fewer hits remain before the mob dies.
Do passive mobs like cows and sheep have health textures?
No, only hostile mobs and neutral non-real mobs (like Endermen and Piglins) have health-based texture variants. Real passive animals like cows, sheep, and pigs are not affected.
Which mobs are included in this pack?
All hostile mobs are included, plus all neutral non-real mobs. This includes all 16 shulker color variations, each with their own damage progression.
Can I use this pack with other resource packs?
Yes, but load order matters—place this pack lower in your resource pack list if another pack also modifies mob textures, or higher if you want these textures to take priority.
Does this pack work in multiplayer?
Yes, the pack works in both single-player and multiplayer servers, though all players need the pack installed to see the health textures.
Will this pack affect my FPS or performance?
No, this is a resource pack that only changes textures—it has no impact on performance or server load.
How many health stages does each mob have?
The pack includes 274 unique variants across all mobs, with each mob progressing through multiple texture stages as it takes damage.
Do boss mobs like the Ender Dragon and Wither have health textures?
Yes, both the Ender Dragon and Wither are hostile mobs and feature health-based texture changes throughout the fight.
Can I see health textures on mobs wearing armor?
The health textures still apply to armored mobs, though armor may partially obscure the texture changes depending on the mob and armor type.
What Minecraft version does this pack support?
Check the pack's download page for the specific version compatibility—resource packs are typically tied to particular game versions.
