TooMuchLoot Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

What does the TooMuchLoot mod do?
TooMuchLoot is a utility mod that gives players and modpack developers control over the game's loot tables. It lets you add, remove, or completely replace items found in world-generated chests.
How does TooMuchLoot work?
When the mod first runs, it compiles a list of all registered dungeon loot and generates a config file listing those items and where they spawn. You can then toggle whether each item spawns.
Where is the TooMuchLoot config file?
The config file is in the standard config folder, under TooMuchLoot/MainConfig.cfg.
Can TooMuchLoot add new loot?
Yes. TooMuchLoot allows you to define new loot that should spawn, in addition to removing loot you don't want.
What Minecraft versions does TooMuchLoot support?
The mod is documented for Minecraft 1.6.4, 1.7.2, and 1.7.10.
Does TooMuchLoot add new items or blocks?
No. TooMuchLoot is a utility mod for controlling loot tables, not a content mod that adds new items or blocks.
Does TooMuchLoot need to be updated when I add other mods?
The mod recompiles its loot list any time it runs to keep things updated, so it stays current with registered dungeon loot.
Can TooMuchLoot replace loot entirely?
Yes. TooMuchLoot allows for the addition, removal, and complete replacement of items found in world-generated chests.
Is TooMuchLoot a server mod?
TooMuchLoot is categorized as a Server Utility mod.
Does TooMuchLoot have fine-grained loot control?
The current implementation is fairly simple, but more fine-grained control over dungeon loot is in the works.
