How do I scroll a tooltip that's too long to fit on screen?
Hover the item so its tooltip appears, then press Page Down to scroll down through the hidden lines and Page Up to scroll back up. The tooltip only scrolls while it's open, so keep your cursor on the item.
Why isn't Page Up / Page Down doing anything when I hover an item?
The tooltip has to actually be taller than the screen before there's anything to scroll, so short tooltips won't move. Also make sure you're holding the cursor over the item itself, not a nearby slot, and that the keybinds haven't been changed or unbound.
How do I move a tooltip left and right instead of up and down?
Hold Shift while pressing Page Up or Page Down and the tooltip moves horizontally instead of vertically. Release Shift to go back to normal up/down scrolling.
Can I move a tooltip completely off the screen?
Yes, the mod lets you push tooltips past the screen edges in any direction, including fully off-screen. This is useful for clearing your view, but you'll need to scroll it back the same way to read it again.
How do I reset a tooltip back to its normal position?
Scroll it back in the opposite direction using the same keys until it returns to the default spot. If you've lost it entirely, reopening the inventory or re-hovering the item usually snaps it back to the default position.
Where do I change the scroll keybinds?
Open the mod's settings through the Mods list or its config screen and look for the keybind options for scrolling. You can rebind the vertical and horizontal scroll keys there if Page Up/Page Down conflict with something else.
Does holding Shift for horizontal scrolling conflict with other mods?
Shift is used by many mods for sneak-related or info-tooltip features, so if another mod reacts to Shift while you hover an item you may see both behaviors at once. Rebinding the horizontal scroll key or checking the other mod's settings usually resolves it.
Can I scroll tooltips in JEI or REI recipe screens?
Scrolling works on the tooltip itself, so it applies wherever a tooltip is shown, including item lists in recipe viewers. If a screen captures the scroll keys for its own navigation, you may need to rebind to avoid the clash.
Does this mod hurt performance or cause lag?
It only acts on tooltips while they're displayed, so it has no meaningful impact during normal gameplay. If you notice stutter, it's more likely another tooltip-affecting mod running at the same time.
Why does my tooltip jump back to the top every time I move my mouse?
The scroll position resets when the tooltip closes, which happens as soon as you move off the item or the tooltip re-renders. Keep the cursor steady on the item while scrolling, and avoid moving between slots mid-scroll.
