Show Tools While Wearing a Cape or Elytra

Enabling Cosmetics with Tools

By default, the mod may hide your tools when you equip cosmetic items. You can change this behavior in the config.

Configuring Cape Display

1. Open /config/tools-on-my-back.json5

2. Find the line "renderWithCape": true

3. If it's set to false, change it to true

4. Save and restart your game

5. Equip a cape and hold any tool—it will now display on your back alongside your cape

Configuring Elytra Display

1. In the same config file, locate "renderWithElytra": true

2. If it's set to false, change it to true

3. Save and restart

4. Equip elytra wings and hold a tool—both will render together

Troubleshooting Overlap

If your tool and cosmetic item overlap awkwardly, adjust the tool's offsetZ value to move it further from your body, or reduce its scale to make it less intrusive.
