Display a Custom Mod Item on Your Back

Finding the Item ID

To display tools from other mods, you first need the exact item identifier. Check the mod's documentation or use a mod menu to inspect items in your inventory.

Adding the Item to Config

1. Open /config/tools-on-my-back.json5 in a text editor

2. Locate the "tools" array

3. Add a new entry:

4. Replace modname:item_name with your actual item ID

5. Save the file and restart your game

6. Hold the custom item, then switch to another item to see it appear on your back

Checking if It's 3D

If your item looks flat or rotates strangely, change "is3DModel" to true. This tells the mod to treat it as a three-dimensional object like a shield rather than a flat texture.
