Getting Started with the Zipline Holder

What You Need

Before you can use the zipline holder, you must install a cable mod. Popular options include Connectible Chains and HyphaPiracea. The zipline holder alone does nothing—it requires cables to function.

Craft the zipline holder using the recipe shown in the mod documentation. Once crafted, you'll have an item ready to use.

Using Your Zipline Holder

Equip the zipline holder in your hand and approach a cable that's been placed by your cable mod. Look at the cable and interact with it (right-click by default). Your character will grab onto the cable and begin gliding along it.

The direction you glide depends on the cable's orientation. You'll smoothly travel from one end toward the other. To dismount, simply jump or press your sneak key (Shift by default).

Tips

• Test your cables in a safe area first to understand their layout
• Build cable networks between distant locations for fast travel
• You can chain multiple cables together for longer routes
• Always have an escape route planned in case you need to dismount mid-journey
