Tomate0613 Zipline Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I use the zipline holder?
Equip the zipline holder in your hand, look at a cable above you, and right-click to attach. You'll hang from the cable and automatically glide forward along it until you reach the end or let go.
What cables work with this mod?
This mod doesn't add cables itself—you need to install a separate mod like Connectible Chains or HyphaPiracea that adds cable blocks. The zipline holder will work with cables from any compatible mod.
Can I control my speed on the zipline?
You move at a fixed speed determined by the mod. You can dismount early by pressing the sneak key (default Shift) to stop gliding before reaching the cable's end.
Do I need to be in Creative mode to use ziplines?
No, the zipline holder works in Survival mode. You just need to craft or obtain one and have cables available from another mod.
What happens if I zipline into a wall or obstacle?
You'll collide with the obstacle and stop moving, then fall or dismount depending on your position. Avoid building cables through solid blocks or plan your routes carefully.
Can multiple players use the same cable at once?
Yes, multiple players can zipline on the same cable simultaneously without interfering with each other.
Does the zipline holder break or wear out?
The zipline holder is a reusable item that doesn't degrade, so you can use it infinitely once crafted.
Can I zipline downward or only horizontally?
You can zipline along cables in any direction—horizontal, diagonal, or downward—as long as the cable is connected and you can reach it.
Why can't I attach to the cable?
Make sure you're holding the zipline holder, looking directly at a cable, and right-clicking on it. If it still doesn't work, check that your cable mod is installed and the cables are properly placed.
Does this mod affect performance or lag?
The zipline holder itself has minimal performance impact, but large networks of cables from your cable mod may affect performance depending on your system and the number of cables loaded.
