Planning Your Route

Before placing cables, decide where you want ziplines to go. Common setups include:

• Connecting your base to mining areas
• Linking multiple buildings across your world
• Creating shortcuts over dangerous terrain

Sketch out your cable paths and ensure they're supported properly by your cable mod's mechanics.

Installation Tips

Use your cable mod to place cables between two points. Make sure cables are taut and properly connected—loose or disconnected cables won't work with the zipline holder.

Test each cable segment with the zipline holder before building the next section. This helps you catch placement errors early.

Optimization

• Position cables at consistent heights for predictable gliding
• Avoid sharp angles that might cause awkward dismounts
• Create landing platforms at cable endpoints so you can safely stop
• Consider adding multiple parallel cables for different destinations from the same starting point
• Use cables to bypass water, lava, or hostile mob areas
