Prevent Explosions from Destroying Specific Blocks

Protecting Important Blocks

You can configure TNTUtils to preserve certain blocks during explosions. This is essential for protecting valuable structures, decorative elements, or blocks that shouldn't be affected by TNT or Creeper damage.

Setting Up Block Protection

1. Open your TNTUtils configuration file

2. Locate the block protection or whitelist/blacklist section

3. Choose your protection mode:

  • Whitelist mode: Only listed blocks survive explosions
  • Blacklist mode: Listed blocks are destroyed; others survive
  • Tile entity protection: Preserves chests, furnaces, and other containers

4. Add the block names you want to protect

5. Save and reload your configuration

Practical Applications

Use this feature to keep decorative builds intact during combat, protect storage areas from Creeper damage, or create safe zones where explosions have limited effect. This is particularly valuable on multiplayer servers where accidental destruction can ruin player builds.
