How to Install and Launch a Modded Version (Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, Optifine)

Choosing a Pre-Made Modded Version

In the version selection list, look for entries that already include a mod loader. The launcher ships with pre-made Forge, NeoForge, Optifine, and Fabric versions. Pick the one that matches the mods you plan to use — Forge or NeoForge for most large modpacks, Fabric for lightweight and performance mods, Optifine for vanilla-style optimization and shaders.

Launching It

Select the modded version from the list, confirm your account, and press Play. The launcher will download the required loader files on first launch. After that, the version behaves like any other.

Adding Your Own Mods

Each version has its own game folder. Open that folder from the launcher (there is usually a button to open the version directory). Inside, find the mods folder — create it if it does not exist. Drop your mod .jar files there. Make sure every mod matches the loader and the game version you selected, or the game will crash on startup.

Per-Version Folders

Because each version keeps its own data subfolder, mods, configs, and worlds stay separated. This means you can run a Forge pack and a Fabric pack side by side without conflicts. If you want a clean setup, just create or select a fresh version entry before adding mods.
