TL Legacy Launcher FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I launch the game for the first time in TL Legacy Launcher?
Open the launcher, pick or create an account, select a version from the version list, then press the big Play button. The launcher will download the required game files on the first run before starting Minecraft.
How do I switch between my Free, Mojang, Microsoft and Ely.by accounts?
Open the account manager from the launcher's sidebar, add each account once, then click the account you want to make it active. The selected account is used the next time you press Play.
Why does the launcher say my Microsoft account login failed?
Microsoft accounts require you to sign in through the official Microsoft login window and may need you to own the game on that account. If the window closes or hangs, remove the account and add it again from the account manager.
How do I install Forge, Fabric, NeoForge or Optifine with this launcher?
Open the version creation or install menu and choose the modded loader you want; the launcher downloads and sets it up automatically. After it finishes, the new modded version appears in your version list and can be launched like any other.
Where do I put mods, and why aren't they loading?
Mods go into the mods folder of the game directory that the selected version uses. If you enabled separate per-version folders, make sure you're dropping the jar into that version's folder, not the default one.
How do I turn on separate game folders for each version?
Enable the per-version game directory option in the launcher settings or in the version's settings. Each version then gets its own subfolder, so mods, worlds, configs and saves stay isolated between versions.
My mods and worlds disappeared after switching versions — what happened?
You're most likely looking at a different game directory than before, usually because per-version folders were toggled on or off. Check the game directory path shown for the version and point it back to the folder that holds your old data.
How do I set up an Ely.by skin and make it show on servers?
Sign in with an Ely.by account in the account manager and upload your skin through Ely.by. Servers that support the Ely.by skin system will display it; on servers that don't, other players may see the default skin.
How do I allocate more RAM or change Java settings?
Open the launcher's Java or settings section and adjust the memory slider or the Java arguments field, then save. Remember to also select a compatible Java version for the Minecraft version you're launching.
The game crashes or runs slowly — what should I check?
Make sure the Java version matches your Minecraft version, that you're not mixing mods built for different loaders, and that allocated memory is reasonable for your modpack. Also confirm you're launching the correct modded version rather than a vanilla one.
