How to Build and Maintain Reputation with Factions
Starting Out
When you first encounter Masons (red and black armor) or Agathians (blue and gold armor), they won't attack you. Use this window to build reputation before conflict starts.
Gaining Favor
Drop gold, emeralds, or diamonds on the ground near faction members. They will pick these up and your reputation increases. This is the fastest way to secure peace.
Alternatively, heal wounded soldiers by standing near them—faction members recognize this as aid. Fighting their enemies (soldiers from the opposing faction) also boosts your standing.
Critical Threshold
Do not hit the same faction more than 5 times, and avoid killing their members. Once you cross this line, their entire team becomes hostile and will hunt you down as a group.
Maintaining Peace
Continue gifting valuables periodically to keep reputation high. If you accidentally hit a faction member, immediately back away and consider giving gifts to repair the relationship before it escalates.
Village Safety
In populated villages, low reputation with either faction can trigger a massive clash between Masons and Agathians. The resulting battle will destroy structures and make the area dangerous.
