Fixing GUI Scale Options That Won't Appear or Apply

Check for Conflicting Mods

TipTheScales is known not to work alongside Optifine or Sodium. If the slider is missing, behaves oddly, or the scale refuses to change, first confirm you are not running those mods together with TipTheScales. Remove or disable the conflicting mod, then relaunch the game and reopen Video Settings to see whether the slider returns.

Verify the Right Minecraft Version

On newer Minecraft versions the vanilla game already provides a slider, so TipTheScales mainly matters on older versions where it unlocks additional scale options. If you are on a version where the option already exists natively, the mod may appear to do nothing because the feature is already present. Make sure the mod build matches your game version.

Reset and Reapply

If the slider is present but the scale will not stick, set it back to a default value, close the menu fully, and reopen it before dragging again. Sometimes the change only registers after the video settings screen is exited and re-entered. If problems persist, test with only TipTheScales enabled to rule out other client-side mods interfering with the options screen.
