Format Tips with Colors and Styling

Understand Minecraft Color Codes

Tips Enhancement Mod uses standard Minecraft formatting codes. Each code starts with & followed by a character:

  • &c = Red
  • &a = Green
  • &b = Cyan
  • &e = Yellow
  • &l = Bold
  • &o = Italic
  • &n = Underline
  • &r = Reset (clears all formatting)

Combine Codes for Effect

Stack codes together to mix colors and styles:

`

&l&6Golden Title&r — &7This text is gray and normal.

`

Always use &r to reset formatting before switching to a new style, or your formatting may carry over unexpectedly.

Apply to Your Tips

Edit your config file and insert codes directly into your tip text. Test in-game to see how colors render on your screen. Different backgrounds (pause menu, loading screen) may display colors differently, so preview each location.

Avoid Overuse

Too many colors make tips hard to read. Use bold and color sparingly to highlight key information.
