Ordering and Weighting in Tips
By default every registered tip has an equal chance of appearing and the pool is shuffled randomly on each load. Depending on the build, you can influence selection:
- Random (default): each loading screen picks a uniformly random tip from the full pool.
- Priority / weighting: some versions let a pack mark certain tips as higher priority so they surface more often — useful for showing modpack-critical instructions first.
- Namespaced pools: because tips are keyed by namespace, a modpack can ship its own
tip.entries alongside the mod's defaults, and both sets rotate together.
If you want only your custom tips to appear, override the mod's default tip keys in your resource pack so they resolve to empty or replacement strings.
