Tiny Pipes FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

What does the Tiny Pipes Mod do?
It adds modular pipes for transferring items, fluids, Forge Energy and redstone. The pipes can share block space with each other and with Tiny Redstone circuits.
What types of pipes does Tiny Pipes add?
It registers item pipes, item filter pipes, fluid pipes, fluid filter pipes, energy pipes, redstone pipes, and tiny versions of each. There is also a pipe speed upgrade and a pipe wrench.
How fast do Tiny Pipes transfer items?
Each item pipe connection moves 2 items per second by default, and this is configurable. Full-sized pipes can be sped up up to 32x with speed upgrades, reaching about 1 stack per second by default.
How fast do fluid pipes transfer fluids?
Each fluid pipe connection moves 500mB (half a bucket) per second by default, and this is configurable. Full-sized pipes can be sped up up to 32x with speed upgrades, reaching 16 buckets per second by default.
How much energy do energy pipes transfer?
Each energy pipe connection moves 256 FE/tick by default, and this is configurable. Transfer speed can be increased with multiple tiny connectors or speed upgrades on full-sized pipes.
How do I filter items or fluids in Tiny Pipes?
Use an item filter pipe or fluid filter pipe and right-click it with an empty hand to open a filter GUI. There you can set items or fluid buckets to allow or disallow (whitelist/blacklist), and filters can be placed anywhere in the pipe network.
How do I change which sides a Tiny Pipe connects to?
Right-click the pipe with a wrench to toggle each side between off, on and pull where possible. You can also right-click with an empty hand to open a 3D GUI and toggle the 6 sides.
How do redstone pipes work in Tiny Pipes?
Redstone pipes transfer redstone losslessly and support up to 16 signals corresponding to dye colors. Inputs and outputs are controlled with a wrench, and right-clicking a connector with a dye sets its color frequency without consuming the dye; each output only transfers signals from inputs of the same color.
What is the difference between normal and Tiny Pipes?
Normal pipes are block-sized and can be clustered together, while tiny pipes are 1/8th of a block in each dimension, giving an 8x8x8 grid per block space for compact designs. Both can share block space with each other and with Tiny Redstone circuits.
What does Tiny Pipes require to run?
It requires Tiny Redstone. It is available for Forge and NeoForge.
