Single vs. Fan Throws

Throwing knives are versatile projectiles that can be used two ways. A standard throw fires a single knife, which you can recover from the ground after it lands. For crowd control, you can unleash a fan of three knives at once.

How to Perform a Fan Attack

1. Equip your throwing knife in your main hand

2. Hold Sneak (default: Shift)

3. While sneaking, hold Right-Click to charge

4. Release to fire three knives in a spread pattern

Crafting Tips

Throwing knives are made from a knife blade, arrow shaft, and grip. The grip material (glass, slime, shulker shells, prismarine, or redstone) determines your projectile traits. Choose grips that complement your playstyle—use piercing traits for single-target penetration, or collection traits to gather drops from multiple enemies hit by your fan attack.

Recovery

After throwing, your knives land on the ground. Walk over them to pick them back up and reuse them, making throwing knives a sustainable ranged option.
